It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.

Seriously, go to Steamboat and Strawberry Hot Springs.

Go with amazing people who make you laugh!

Embrace nature's gifts!

Drink orange rum and cokes out of water bottles like renegades!

Soak up the water; the minerals can heal you!

Magnificent!

We discussed my sordid past with synchronized swimming...
Ask me about my Bizarre Love Triangle routine!

Maura playing Sonia's leg like a stand up bass.

Sadly, I can't go anywhere without my glasses.

The stars were astonishing. You would have had to have been there...

Later, Sonia did her comedy routine!

Mineral waters knock you for a loop!

Still, Maura was in peak condition!

The next day we wrangled ourselves from bed, ate some breakfast and road tripped back to Denver. Our cuts were healed, our skin was buttery, and our humor was brightened.
It's worth it! Go! Get!

In Between Days

Did you know there was a violin maker in Denver? Neither did we.

We wandered down Broadway last night.

Wish we'd had an appointment!

The 404 is another Denver institution. I swear by their French Onion Soup and they've always got a steak special!

I had never really, truly taken in how gorgeous The Mayan is...look at it again, Denverites.

When we ventured into the neighb, we found all kinds of curious things!
Front yard putting green!

The intoxicating scent of pear trees was everywhere.

Round windows.

A weird, dark storm started rolling in and Micaela didn't really wear walking shoes.

We found Cero's and fell in love. It's a dusty worn out bar, the cook has a dreamy accent, and they play the Buzzcocks constantly.

Cheese Croquettes with GRAVY, hot wings, and Stella Artois. A DREAM MEAL.
The world can be a funny place where your face can get erased.

But as long as we're together, all of us...

...under the red lights...we'll be alright.

TACO DAY

We planned a Taco Day last week and it materialized today! I was in charge of Taco Meat.

Everyone brought something and filled the table with delicious taco fixin's!

Buffet style!

Pre-chow workstation...

Post chow office talks with inevitable Klondike Bar get downs!
Thank heaven's for Taco Day!

Buckle It and Light It!

In a few months, everyone's going to have a nasty piece of utilitarian hardware on their belt!

Broken Promises for Broken Hearts

A Colorado Mini Golf Journey!

Micaela picked a green putter and a purple ball - to match her hair...she's coordinated that way.

I'm happy to report that I got a hole in one on the first hole!

The Mini Golf Mating Call!

Micaela putts with the score card in her britches and her water bottle between her legs. She swears it helps her short game.

This was the St. Elmo hole. And yes, I did sing several spontaneous renditions of "St. Elmo's Fire" much to Micaela's chagrin.

Another hole in one! We're CHAMPIONS!

Why keep score?

Post Mini Golf hangouts at The Madrid.

Shelly, Mama Extraordinaire and Hot Ass Waitress, threw some delish calimari and Coronas at us!
What's great about The Madrid is that they serve American and Chinese food. IRONY is DELICIOUS.

Later, some of my fave dudes played the Lair.

Mikey Rat and Luke Rat shredded per their UZJE.

Ant was all smiles and there's really nothing better than that!

Some call him Doug, others call him Pockets, I call him Douglet.

Mike and I were sunburned and serious.

Hey look! Sweet Gina!

This guy was there too! He was having such a good time and his smile was amazing!

THIS HAND IS FULL OF ROCK. Keep the dream alive, babies!
